Every run of Excess Baggage has a seed, and it looks like 45-0919-K7. The first number is the run length, so a 45 seed is always a Long Haul. The middle four digits are the month and day it was made. The last two characters are the code. Same seed, same market: the same cities, prices, events, rumors, and customs odds, for anyone who types it in.

On the welcome screen, tap PLAYING AGAINST A FRIEND? USE A SEED. Under NO SEED YET? MAKE ONE TO SHARE, pick a run length and tap GENERATE ONE. Every run you finish shows its seed on the end card as well.

Tap SEND IT and the share sheet does the rest. The message carries the seed and a link back to this page with the seed already in it, so your friend lands on a screen with the code ready to copy. Or read it out. Ten characters is not many.
