Excess Baggage is a buy-low, sell-high trading game played out of one suitcase. You start in New York with $2,000 in cash, $2,000 owed to your Rich Uncle, and an empty bag, and you fly between six world cities on an airport departures board where every price flips when it changes. Each city sells something cheap and pays more for something else. Some of what you carry is legit. Some of it is contraband, and customs would like a word: declare it and pay the duty, say nothing and take the roll, or slip the officer some cash when the bluff fails. Runs last 30, 45, or 60 in-game days and ten to twenty real minutes. The uncle charges 5% a day the whole time. Every run has a seed you can send to a friend so they play the identical market. The free game is the whole game. Twelve one-time purchases add cities and cargo, not power.
- Same seed, same market. Every run has a seed like 45-0919-K7. Send it to a friend and they play the same cities, prices, events, and customs odds, then compare scores.
- Customs is the risk. Legit goods are never searched. Contraband raises the stop chance, and once you are at the desk the odds are on the buttons: declare, bluff, or bribe. In Sydney, a beagle named Lucy cannot be bluffed.
- The market answers you. Sell a full bag in one city and the price there drops for about a week, so no fixed route wins twice.
The icon, the eight current screenshots, and the character, city, and goods illustrations are served from the same files as the site's social kit, in PNG, at full size, with alt text. The big title may be styled EXCE$$ BAGGAGE; the name in running text is Excess Baggage.
